The relationship between temperature and geographical location can produce some fascinating data. Using the IoT@School Exploratory you can investigate how the temperature in a river valley, by the sea and at a higher altitude in the open differs over a one week period.
Use the link above to download the data from 3 weather stations in the south west of England. The data is for a period of one week in October. The Bath weather station is located in a valley near a river, Downside weather station is located at a higher altitude and Weston-Super-Mare weather station is in close proximity to the sea.
Note how on occasion the air temperature drops considerably lower overnight in the valley.
